Sina Villa Medici is a splendid 5 Star Hotel, perfectly located in the heart of Florence. It is indeed very easy to reach all the main attractions just walking around and it is just 10 minutes away from the main train station (Firenze Santa Maria Novella). It has also a very good restaurant called “Il Giardino“, where I had a truly unforgettable dining experience!
This luxurious hotel has been fully renovated and it became part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection.
ROOMS & SUITES
Sina Villa Medici Hotel offers several types of rooms and suites. Due to its amazing location, some of the best ones have a breathtaking view of Florence!
This handsome heritage building, respecting the charm and the history of yore, continues to attract illustrious visitors as it has down the years.
On the ground floor the hall, the gallery and the lounge bar now have many 20th-century objets d’art, like the beautiful photographs representing Catherine de’ Medici and some details from paintings in the Uffizi Gallery created by the artist Marco Lanza for the Sina Villa Medici.
During my stay, I enjoyed a Premium Twin Room with a spacious balcony that overlooks the city. The room was well decorated, with a refurbished bathroom with brand new amenities. I loved the warm welcome that we enjoyed on the balcony!
I had a pleasant sleep as the area is very quiet, which is a great plus!
To add some more pleasure to my stay, I enjoyed a splendid bubble bath!
Of course I had some bubbles while admiring the incredible view!
IN-ROOM BREAKFAST
As per my habit, the following day I ordered my breakfast in the room. It was simple but all the products fresh and nicely presented.
While having breakfast I was deeply enchanted by the view!
DINNER @ “IL GIARDINO” RESTAURANT
My biggest highlight at Sina Villa Medici has surely been the fine dining experience at “Il Giardino” Restaurant! Beautifully located near the garden and elegantly decorated, this restaurant has a very unique venue where every guest can enjoy delicious and sophisticated food. I was truly impressed!
The impeccable service already made me realize that I was about to have a phenomenal dinner, together with a marvelous atmosphere and great wine! The appetizer have been beautifully presented and they tasted so good! 🙂
Followed by some extra-yummy pasta dishes!
… and the main courses were divine!
The top dish served was surely a revised version of the Tiramisu, served like a cigar! Not only aesthetically very pleasant, but also so incredibly delicious!
As well as the other dessert, of course… 🙂
THE OUTDOOR POOL
I haven’t had the chance to enjoy the outdoor swimming pool as it was still chilly, but in summertime the hotel guests can relax by the pool, surrounded by a lovely garden full of trees and flowers!
At night the atmosphere is so magical, and you can enjoy it while having a fabulous dinner at the restaurant.
FITNESS AREA
Inside the hotel, every guest can use the gym facilities. The wellness area has also sauna and Turkish bath – I haven’t had the chance to experience them due to the limited amount of time.
THE LOUNGE BAR
There is also an elegant lounge bar, where you can enjoy great Italian wines and cocktails before or after dinner, as well as having a coffee break during the day or a nice afternoon tea!
Overall it has been a great experience and I’d surely recommend this hotel!
