If you are planning a trip to Ireland, one of the places you must visit is definitely Killarney, on the shores of Lough Leane in south-west Ireland’s County Kerry. This town offers a wide range of outdoor activities, pubs/restaurants and also fantastic hidden luxury retreats.
I’d like to share with you my wonderful experience at The Killarney Park Hotel, a beautiful 5 stars property in the heart of the Irish town.
Killarney Park Hotel: 5 Stars Hotel & Spa
The first thing I noticed when I walked into this beautiful property has been the warm and cozy atmosphere. In mostly every room there was a fire place and the classy and elegant interiors made me feel living already an authentic luxury experience.
The Tea Room-Lounge and The Restaurant
On the ground floor there are several rooms where you can find your own quiet spot to enjoy a cup of tea or a glass of champagne, surrounded by paintings and magnificent decors.
I personally loved very much the tea-room, due to its undeniable charm. With its bookshelves, the fire place and the chess corner, you have the chance to read a newspaper or a book in a very quiet and calm ambience, and enjoying a delicious afternoon-tea, if you like (which I highly recommend!).
In fact, I had the pleasure to enjoy an exquisite tea sitting at the chess corner and warm up while outside it was rainy and cold! Simply perfect!
Moreover, If you would like to experience an elegant dinner while in Killarney, you should definitely book a table at the fancy Park Restaurant:
The Spa & Wellness Center
The Wellness Center is over two floors: upstairs you can find the reception, the treatment-rooms, the relaxing area, and the changing rooms.
As soon as I walked in I felt already a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, which is very important for a great retreat! The staff is highly qualified and professional, and Leanne (the therapist who took care of me) was so gentle and caring!
The ladies changing room is very warm – the floor is also heated (which is great for people who struggle with cold like I do!). Furthermore, you can find everything you need: towels, robes, sleepers, creams, deodorant, hair spray, hairdrier and also the hair-straightener.
Before getting my massage, I decided to relax inside the “warm-room” (my favorite!). There are two heated lounges inside and a stunning view of the green park that surrounds the hotel. The room is very warm, perfect to chill and warm up while outside is cold. Incredible!
Among several treatments, I chose the ‘Elemis Aroma Hot Stones massage- 80 minutes’. Absolutely phenomenal! Leanne, my therapist, was extremely good and qualified. I have to admit that I had one of the best massage experiences ever! Click HERE to see the full Spa Menu.
After the amazing Hot Stone Massage, I had the pleasure to continue my retreat in the relaxing-room, where there was a beautiful aquarium that made the atmosphere ever greater! I had a cup of tea while listening to soft music.
After chilling for a bit in the relaxing-room, I went downstairs for a swim:
And also to enjoy the warm water inside the jacuzzi!
Overall, I had a fantastic experience and I really recommend you to stay at Killarney Park Hotel.
Also I am very grateful to Mr. John Downes for the warm welcoming and Miss Leanne for the treatment!
And you… Are you lusting for the sublime?
Always,
Carlotta
