As you already know, this year I spent 2 wonderful and lavish weeks in Dubai, during which I had the immense pleasure to stay also at the magnificent Burj Al Arab, the most luxurious hotel in the world! In this article I would love to share with you my superb dining experiences during my time there!
This majestic hotel offers to its guest 10 dining spots, for every taste. I personally tried 2 restaurants and 2 bars: Nathan Outlaw at Al Mahara, The Scape Restaurant&Lounge, Gold On 27 and Skyview Bar.

NATHAN OUTLAW AT AL MAHARA
Let’s start from the most impressive restaurant of the hotel, “Nathan Outlaw At Al Mahara”. It became worldwide famous for the exquisite meals prepared by the award-winning British Chef Nathan Outlaw, and for its unique decor: it has indeed a massive wall-to-ceiling aquarium in the middle of the restaurant, where the guests can get an “underwater-feeling” throughout the meal.
Through the golden-tunnel entrance you can see the aquarium from afar, and it really feels magical! Even before starting dinner, I was already feeling in another dimension. This restaurant is seriously couple-date-dinner-goal!!!
My table was literally next to the aquarium and having dinner with this view was absolutely phenomenal!
I started my meal with Langoustines, some of the best I have ever had! This restaurant is consider one of the best for seafood in Dubai!
To follow, I chose monkfish and it tasted delicious, highly recommended!
During the entire dinner I was astonished by the colors and the beauty of the fishes, swimming literally a few centimeters away from me! So cool!
The dessert was delicate and exotic, a perfect way to end such a perfect seafood dinner!
SCAPE RESTAURANT & LOUNGE
The Scape Restaurant&Lounge is located on The Terrace, the private 10,000 sqm outdoor luxury leisure facility now seamlessly stretches 100m out into the sea. This vibrant and chic venue presents a range of gourmet style dishes and signature beverages designed to impress the connoisseur in you.
This elegantly decorated restaurant offers to its guests truly delicious food, combined with a remarkable great service. I had such a pleasant lunch!
At The Scape restaurant you are able to taste an interesting fusion style. I was particularly impressed by the exotic ‘Vitello Tonnato’: this is a typical recipe from my native region (Piedmont, Italy) and it has been quiet fun trying this new version of the Chef – loved it!
Everything my friend and I had was impressive, the combination of flavors was incredible. A very chic and fun spot for lunch and brunch in Dubai!
GOLD ON 27
Gold On 27 became one of my favorite cocktail bars in the world! The breathtaking view of the city from the 27th floor of the Burj Al Arab, combined with the best cocktails and music, fun service and lavish interiors made my pre-dinner drinks unforgettable moments! A great spot in Dubai! If you are not a guest of the hotel, you can easily book a table just for drinks!
It is possible to smoke inside this bar as well.
SKYVIEW BAR
Located on the same floor of Gold On 27, the Skyview Bar offers as well phenomenal cocktails and unique mixology, a breathtaking view of the city and wonderful atmosphere. I personally went there for my post-dinner drinks and I had such a great time!
Here it is NOT possible to smoke. You can book your table even if you are not a guest of the hotel. Surely a special spot in Dubai! 🙂
IN-ROOM DINING
I would like to add to this article also my in-room dining experience. I had indeed a royal breakfast served in my luxurious suite, and I think it is important for me to share with you how special and great it was!
The quality of the food was extremely good, everything was fresh and perfectly served. All details were on point, as I like! Seriously, Royal Breakfast there! 🙂
