During my recent trip to Budapest, the majestic Hungarian capital, I had the immense pleasure to stay at the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus. This wonderful 5 star luxurious hotel is perfectly located in the heart of “Pest”, near shops and restaurants and just a few minutes walk from the Danube River.
As soon as I arrived, the entire staff was so polite and helpful, and very careful about my needs. The reception desk always worked perfectly and efficiently, which is something very crucial for any hotel.

Overall, I truly had an amazing stay, not only because the hotel is beautiful but also because the service has been impeccable and the dining experiences incredibly good. This place became one of my favorite 5 star hotels in Europe, as much as the city itself! A really remarkable stay!
Moreover, the location is logistically perfect for whatever activity you would like to do in town, with a splendid view of the Budapest Eye and the St. Stephen’s Basilica, that create such a magical atmosphere at night! 🙂

THE LUXURIOUS SUITES
The great news is that at the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest 3 floors have been recently fully renovated – 5th/6th/7th floors. Those are the floors with the best suites and premium rooms.
THE SUITE 730
I frankly got astonished by the luxurious suite 730 (105sqm), one of the signature rooms of this hotel- called indeed ‘Corvinus Suite Collection’. Everything is brand new, thank to the recent interior renovations.

In the luxurious marble bath you can find all body products by Salvatore Ferragamo and Kempinski branded robes and towels. There are a bath and a shower, all brand new and very modern!

The unique living room of this suite is fabulous also during the day, where you can have a coffee break as I did, or in-room dining with a wonderful view!

I personally really liked the modern-touch of the brand new interiors, combined with the historical palace of the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest.

As mentioned, this suite is very spacious and it has also another living room area with a sofa and comfortable armchairs. And very intriguing artworks all over!!! 🙂

IN-ROOM DINING
One of the things I like the most when I travel is enjoying a delicious breakfast in my room. At the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus in Budapest I actually had a glorious one!

They served me a delicious food selection, with salmon, ham, cheeses, fresh fruits, croissants. Everything tasted great, and all was so fresh and well presented! The eggs Benedict were phenomenal too! Highly recommended. Freshly squeezed sweet orange juice too!

BREAKFAST @ ES BISZTRO
The regular breakfast at the hotel is served at the ‘Es Bisztro’, and it offers a wide range of delicious and fresh products as well.

DINING EXPERIENCES & BARS
At the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus in Budapest you can find 2 restaurants and 2 bars. The ‘signature’ restaurant is ‘ES Bisztro’, where you can have a great casual Hungarian meal combined with a 5 star service. You can also choose a fancy sushi dining experience at the well known ‘Nobu Restaurant’.
For a few drinks or a tea time, you can go to the elegant ‘Living Room’, where there are a magical fireplace and bookshelves. If you would like to try very extravagant-cool cocktails, than the choice should be ‘Blue Fox The Bar’.
ES BISZTRO BUDAPEST
I had the pleasure to have my first Hungarian meal of my life at the ES Bisztro and it was actually the best option possible! I learnt that the Hungarian cuisine involves lot of meat (which I love) and paprika (that I love even more!). Also, I realized that in Hungary, you can find very high quality food: vegetables, fruits, meat, eggs etc.
For my appetizer I chose a beef tartare – one of the dishes that I like the most in general – and I loved it. In Hungary, instead of chopping the pieces of raw meat, they actually smash it. It tasted so good as the quality of the meat was superb!

To follow, I chose a dish with veal in a paprika-tomato sauce with a very particular potato-dumplings: all tasted divine!!!

If you visit Budapest in summer, I recommend to eat outdoor. This is how the ES Bisztro terrace looks like:

NOBU BUDAPEST
The worldwide most famous sushi restaurant chain – NOBU – has its own spot also in Budapest, on the ground floor of the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest. I haven’t had the chance to try it (in Budapest), but due to my numerous dining experiences at NOBU around the world, I would surely recommend it as well!
BLUE FOX THE BAR
Well, Blue Fox The Bar is surely one of my highlights in Budapest, because of its uniqueness! The barmen indeed invented a very particular cocktail menu, mixing flavors and presenting in the most extravagant way!

The first one I tried was served on a pipe. And guess what? The taste of it was smoky. So clever!

My favorite cocktail (no doubt) is the one served like a plant! They are so smart that to make it look like a tree, they recreated the grass with Oreo biscuits and served in a small terracotta vase! 🙂

THE LIVING ROOM
If you feel like having a relaxing break in a very elegant environment, The Living Room is the place to be. It is open all day long and at night as well, they serve cocktails and patisserie too!

THE LUXURIOUS SPA
Located on the 2nd floor of the hotel, The Seasonal Spa offers a calm and lavish retreat in the heart of the Hungarian capital. You cant’t hear the city noises and there is always ambient music to make your experience even more enjoyable.
You can also book a spa treatment. If you like to check out their entire spa menu, click here
I haven’t had the chance to try any, but I heard the therapists are great!

I would highly recommend to choose this hotel for a luxurious stay during your trip to Budapest!
And you… Are you lusting for the sublime?
Always,
Carlotta
